FRAUD ALERT - BE AWARE OF SCAMS/FRAUD

Online scams and fraud activities have occasionally attempted to use The AML Shop’s name in order to gain access to personal and financial information and to try to defraud innocent victims of further funds.   

The AML Shop is not in any way involved in the release of any funds.    

Any contact by an unknown person to you that claims to represent The AML Shop from an email address other than from theamlshop.ca domain should be considered suspicious and a potential fraud or scam threat. This includes communications via email, phone, social media or writing.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU SUSPECT FRAUD

If you are contacted by a party that claims to be The AML Shop and you suspect fraudulent activity, do not follow any instructions or requests set forth (including sending personal information, banking information or other sensitive information).  Do not download any software or click any links sent to you by unknown persons or parties that claim to be The AML Shop.

If you believe you are a victim of fraudulent activity or a scam or have given your personal or banking information to a suspicious party, please immediately advise your financial services companies, monitor your accounts and credit bureau closely, contact the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre and your local police service.
